Universe

Mégalopolis: Pack Extension regroups the 6 mini-expansions of Mégalopolis into a compact format for easy transport.

This expansion pack introduces numerous ways to score points and adds many cards that will shake up the landscape of the game, offering a fresh and dynamic experience each time you play.

Gameplay

This expansion includes 6 mini-expansions to refresh your gameplay:

Beach Expansion: Choose a Beach card randomly to add to your 3 scoring conditions, then shuffle the remaining cards into the deck with the "blocks" side visible. When you draw a Beach card, you must play it immediately. Each beach creates a new boundary that you cannot cross with other cards (imagine the beach continuing beyond the edge of the card).

Construction Sites Expansion: Construction sites are underway and add an unwelcome wrinkle to your urban planning! A random requirement and a scoring card are part of the scoring. The remaining three cards go into the deck. If the construction blocks aren’t completed (rebuilt) by the end of the game, they incur score penalties.

Inter-State Expansion: Adds a 4-card Inter-State highway that divides your city into two halves (each time you play in competition, 3 cards are used to build the highway, and 1 random card is added as a scoring card along with 2 scoring cards chosen from the base game). Gameplay options include 2-player cooperation, 2-player competition, and solo play. In solo mode, you alternate which side of the highway you play on each turn.

Points of Interest Expansion: Helps you by giving you a starting card that includes a point of interest, which generates points when surrounded by the appropriate block types.

Roadworks Expansion: Each player receives one of the four cards in this expansion, and if they don't play the card by the end of the game, they lose points. The challenge, of course, is that the card must fit perfectly with the roads in your city, which players of Megalopolis (Sprawlopolis) already know is rarely as easy as it sounds.

Destructor Expansion: This expansion adds a card to the game that covers the previously played card when it comes to the top of the deck and incurs score penalties.
